I'm Greg Shaw, former IT teacher, software developer, and digital learning advisor. I've spent 25 years helping people understand and use technology. Now I coach small business owners to do the same with AI.

I started Just AI Talking because I kept seeing the same thing: business owners who were curious about AI, had tried it once, and then stopped. Not because they weren't capable, but because nobody had explained it in a way that stuck, or shown them where it actually fits in their business.

I bring the patience of a teacher, the technical depth of a developer, and genuinely care about whether it actually works for you and your business.

Based in Sheffield, working with clients across the UK.

What makes this different

Three things that rarely come together

Understanding AI and being able to explain it clearly are two very different skills. I've spent 25 years building both.

01

I can teach it

A decade in classrooms taught me how to read confusion, adjust my pace, and find a different way to explain the same idea until it lands.

02

I can build it

10 years writing software means I understand what AI tools are actually doing under the hood, so my explanations are accurate, not just reassuring.

03

I know how people learn

5 years as a Digital Learning Advisor showed me that technology adoption fails when it ignores the human. Pace, consistency, and context matter more than features.

My approach

What I believe about AI and small business

  • AI expands your role. It doesn't shrink it.
You'll make more decisions, not fewer. The job is understanding which ones to hand off and which ones to keep.

  • The journey is gradual and practical.
Everyday tasks first, then processes, then simple automations, then systems. Nobody needs to go faster than they're ready for.

  • Real confidence comes from understanding, not just following instructions.
If you know why something works, you can adapt it when it doesn't.

  • It has to work in your actual business.
Not a hypothetical one, not a template business. Yours, with your tools, your clients, your working day.
